Hail,

Just a small note today. Sick, Sad World is going to be moving to a new server sometime soon. I can't say exactly when, since there's a couple arrangements still up in the air, but I purchased a very nice little Qube 2 for Christmas (and got it cheap), so I'm ditching Digiweb altogether.
As soon as I do make the move I'll be restoring the Sick, Sad World Wide Web Board. I really don't expect much talky-talk on it until season five starts up, but I do want to get it up so I can get used to it. Currently the leading contender for board services is YABB (Yet Another Bulletin Board), which offers most of the features of the Ultimate Bulletin Board without the $200 price tag... If anyone has any suggestions of other boards to consider, let me know.

What really triggered this update is something very amusing I found last night while looking for Daria articles. It seems Daria has been cited in case law. California appeals court, to be exact, in the case of "Orange County Social Services Agency v. Daphne S."

Enjoy.

Hail,

Not much going on right now, obviously. I haven't disappeared (again), just haven't had much in the way of updates to do. I'm not getting much fanfic, nor am I receiving much for annotation updates.
I do have some more stuff I plan to add to the characters section eventually, but it isn't going to happen soon. I've got some other small additions that'll also happen eventually, but right now I'm not spending a lot of time on this website. I'm still trying to deal with hosting problems, which should be mostly solved soon (if I can get Network Solutions to play nice... ha). After that things should get going again, and it isn't that long until fifth season starts up.
I've also received a copy of Final Fantasy IX recently, so obviously I've been spending time with it. I also picked up a set of Serial Experiments: Lain, and must say it's the best series I've ever seen. If you enjoy anime, computers, and thinking this is the anime for you. Even if you don't, it's one of the most thoughtful shows around. Not much in the way of car-chases or gunfights, but if you like directors that can use silence and don't mind (or enjoy) its somewhat dark tone, check it out.

I've also been doing some writing recently. I've finished one short-story that will be available as soon as Maddog starts up his new fanfic site, and I'm working with him on another. I also have a rather huge writing project (sort of) that will be starting up sometime (hopefully early) next year. Further details will be announced here as I get it going.
