Hail,

The final movie has come and gone. I should have the quotes and annotations up this week and a commentary early next week. After that I'll be doing a review of the "Is It Fall Yet?" DVD, which just showed up at my place today.

Unfortunately, Daria isn't the only good show coming to an end. The other best US animation, Invader Zim, has been dropped by Nick. They've still got some unaired episodes to run, but that's all we're going to get. This basically leaves Cartoon Network as the only place with any decent US animation. Looks like the industry is in a major decline again.

Daria's finally coming back to the small screen. MTV's starting to list lots of Daria episodes over the next couple weeks. The way they change the schedule around, it's best to check TV Guide or MTV's site daily, but right now they've got the following schedule:

Rather dissapointing lineup so far, in my opinion. None of the really good episodes are listed, and some of the worst are up. Makes you wonder if MTV managed to "misplace" the masters for the first couple seasons.
Looks like they will be showing "Is It Fall Yet?" again, although this won't be the full version, and they're doing their "look back" show a few times.

Another small update. First, I've started putting up some sound files I've been sent. I've probably a got a few in the wrong episode, if only because some of them are so short they could have come from more than one, so I was just guessing. Let me know if you spot any errors.

Now, on to the real news, "Is It College Yet?" MTV has updated their site, so you can now vote on the episodes that will be shown in the pre-IICY marathon. After you vote, you'll be able to watch a short clip from IICY (the intro, so no spoilers).

It's still scheduled for a January 21st airing, at 8 PM EST. This will be the only uncut showing, so get the VCRs ready. The clip show should be on January 14th, with Season 5 episodes between then and the movie.
