2-01-01 Hail, Yet another minor update. There's been a press release by Viacom about Daria's fifth season. Here's the quote.
On Monday, February 19 at 10:30-11PM (ET/PT), MTV’s critically-acclaimed animated series, Daria, is back for the fifth season. Daria finds Lawndale High School plastered wall to wall with Ultra Cola propaganda when Principal Lee, faced with a major budget crisis, accepts a generous corporate sponsorship. Find out what happens to her soda-drinking peers and the financially desperate driven Principal Lee as they buy into the corporate endorsement fever. Well. We'll see. On a less Daria-related note, there's been a series of stories going up on Slashdot that some of you may be interested in. It's called Voices from the Hellmouth, and it sprung up after the Columbine shootings. It deals primarily with the kinds of crackdowns that happened after the shootings on anyone different. Voices
From the Hellmouth Revisited: Part 1 Wraith 1-20-01 Hail, Another minor update. Apparently rumors of the season being pushed back are false. MTV's official site says that Season 5 of Daria (for the US, anyway) is starting on February 16th, at 11:00 AM (EST). They'll be kicking off with something they're calling the Daria Sarcastathon 3000, which will continue throughout that weekend with several episodes and some unnamed extras. Keep an eye out for further info. Wraith 1-18-01 Hail, Okay, this is a pretty minor update, but it's been a while. Next, I've finally joined the ranks of fanfic authors. My stuff so far is pretty dark, but it does have Daria in. I've got a couple more stories in development, one of which is actually quite humorous. Don't expect anything else soon, as I haven't mastered the art of writing fast yet, and both of the ones I'm currently working on look to be rather lengthy. Not much else to say right now. Apparently season 5 is being pushed
back to March, but I haven't seen any confirmation of it yet, just
MTV's usual pattern. The site move hasn't happened yet, but I'm not
pushing it. That's really it for now. Wraith |
