Originality |

Although this was a great storyline with
the Daria cast, anyone who even casually follows The
Simpsons saw this storyline in the chili-eating contest.
I kept seeing the scenes with Homer while I read this
one. Not a bad effort, and the storyline's still pretty
original. |

"Trueness" to the show |
|
I guess since this is an alternate-reality
episode, there's a lot of leeway in the 'trueness' department.
But since every character kept their personalities relatively
intact, I didn't have a huge problem with it. |

More or less flawless! Nothing jumped
out at me. Nice work. |

Humour |
|
Funny, but I couldn't help thinking of
the Simpsons, which sort of killed the mood. Oh well...still
very funny. The long dotted spaces were kind of irritating-
although they were effective, they put a damper on the
action like a long sleeper hold at a pro wrestling match. |

Over-all impression |
|
Original story, yada yada yada. I liked
it, but felt like it was ripping off the Simpsons. It
was nice to see Daria tripping out this time with the
rest of the family, and I have to comment on the use
of Habanero peppers, since this author definetly knows
his or her food. Nice work. |
