Originality |

I guess this one gets points on this one,
because so far in this contest it's a fairly original
theme. But...it was so short I couldn't get a good feel
for it. Also, the "Hey Daria, Let's Tag Along With Trent"
idea is getting REALLY old. I almost fear fanfics that
do that now. And the ending sucked so much, it was so
short. If this were developed into an ACTUAL STORY I
could see it being okay. This is more of a summary. |

When was Daria so openly eager to go anywhere
for FUN? ESPECIALLY to an amusement park, where she
would inevitably get motion sickness. Also, Quinn doesn't
watch SSW. And they really never have a conversation
unless they have to. |

It would have, and it started to, but
then it rained. And they were never in Wonderland. So
it didn't fit. |

Mispunctuated stuff here and there. This

This was too short to be very funny, and
it was so freaking formulaic that I wanted to cry. I
got to the end and was like, "Wait, did I miss something?"
There weren't any attempts at original humor that I
could see. And the few there were just fell. And crashed
and burned. |

Over-all impression |

Well, I appreciate correct spelling. At
least there were no fake swears in this one. It was
just TOO DAMN SHORT! Plus, the ending bites the big
one. "It rained. Let's watch a movie." That was so inconclusive
I could have screamed. Nothing happened in this fanfic.
It wasn't even worth the phosphors used to display it,
or the 10 minutes that went into writing it. To the
author: Don't quit your day job. And TRY next time? |
