The Daria Annotation File:
See Jane Run

Loose Threads:

What is Evan doing in the women's gym class?

Why isn't Daria helping Jane with her math class?

Notables:

The title is a play on the Dick and Jane children's books, that contain many, many lines on the lines of "See Jane. See Jane run. Run, Jane, run."

Some of the running scenes bear a resemblance to "Chariots of Fire."

Quinn goes on a lot of dates with rather lame lies as excuses, and apparently thinks she's fooling her parents.

Jane gets the number 8

Andrea's locker is close to Daria's, three or four away.

Mistakes:

The clock in the Morgendorffer's kitchen is still missing its hands.

Daria manages to put the milk carton away without the refrigerator door making any noise.

The colors of the books in the stack in Daria's locker change color from camera angle to camera angle.

Sandi's bag disappears from the couch after Daria sits down.

The daily calendar on the wall above the phone in the kitchen only appears in some scenes.

Double Meanings:

Brittany's little falling-on-her-face running gag may be a mild joke indicating that she's unbalanced.
